		<description>It&#039;s tough to be a Montreal Canadian NHL hockey player in Alberta. Those damned Albertans (of which I am now one, sadly) don&#039;t take kindly to O Canada being sung in French.

On the other hand, I&#039;ve never heard anyone else booing the Canadian anthem. It&#039;s a uniquely Canadian thing. It doesn&#039;t mean we&#039;re unpatriotic; it means we&#039;re Canadian.

Try explaining that to an American friend (which I have done), and watch heads explode.</description>

Even as obnoxious as Americans can be, I don&#039;t think we&#039;ve ever booed the Canadian national anthem at hockey games...  Of course, lots will try and sing along and screw it up, which may be an insult in and of itself, but no booing that I&#039;ve seen.</description>
